WB expertise in providing improved services to citizens

TIRANA, Oct.21 /ATA/ The Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Standards, Milva Ekonomi held today a meeting with representatives of the World Bank in Albania, Emanuel Salinas and Evis Sulko to discuss project on improving service standards to citizens.

“We have built a fruitful cooperation with the World Bank over the past years in many different projects and fields,” Minister Ekonomi said.

In her remarks Minister Ekonomi noted that, “along with the representatives of the WB in Tirana, Emanuel Salinas and Evis Sulko, we had an introductory meeting, where I acquainted them with the opportunities for cooperation in terms of raising service standards.”

“The valuable expertise of this international institution will be available in the further steps we are due to take in this direction,” Minister Ekonomi said.

The World Bank announced last year that, in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of the project on the services provided to citizens, which started in 2015, will continue beyond the deadline to be then closed at the end of this year.

The aim of the project is to improve the efficiency of providing and accessing special administrative services in Albania. //a.i/
