TIRANA, October 21 /ATA/ To explore and live the life of villages located in the most northern part of the country, was the mission of the group of students “Highlands” who are involved in the project “In the countryside”.
Their adventure was more than unique, as during the trip to the most remote areas of Albania, they discovered traditional taste, folk traditions and customs as well as made many new friends.
Being among the fresh air and the warm heart of the inhabitants, the group experienced not only an adventure full of discoveries, but also incredibly emotional, getting better acquainted with the daily challenges and potential of this region.
For 9 days, the group stopped every day in one of the nine villages of the Tropoja-Malësi e Madhe area, such as Shoshan, Lekbibaj, Rec, Tamarë, Gropat e Selcës, Lëpushë, Vermosh, Malësi e Madhe.
The “In the Countryside” project is an initiative funded by the German government, through GIZ in Albania.
The project brings a new perspective to students, who will contribute to the rural community.
“Help a local resident in the village” or promotion of tourism potential in the villages are experiences offered to young people for a two-week period in 11 regions of the country: Shkodra, Kukes, Dibra, Lezha, Elbasan, Korca, Kolonja, Pogradec, Gjirokastra, Përmet , Tepelena./j.p/r.e/p.s./
