TIRANA, Oct 21 /ATA/ Arben Ferhati, a farmer in Rrasa, Elbasan, has returned after 20 years of emigration to set up his agricultural enterprise thanks to agricultural machinery secured with the support of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, drew attention on Thursday to the case of Arben, one of the many farmers who, through the support of the IPARD program, have purchased agricultural machinery thanks to which they save time and improve work processes.
Arben talks about his work and investment. He chose to plant a vineyard on the family land which he wants to expand.
“I applied a year ago in the IPARD program implemented by the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development for agricultural machinery, he says, as he shows that this was a great help, because agriculture cannot be done through manual work,” he said.
“Today I have 2 acres of land planted with vineyards and I intend to extend the vineyard. So far the results are positive. I manage to sell all the production and this is a good thing for my family’s economy and for my business, ” Arbeni says.
ARDA, through the IPARD II Program has addressed 60% of grants to farmers and other entities that invest in machinery and new agricultural technologies. /j.p/sm/
