TIRANA, October 16/ATA/ Women in uniform will have the opportunity during October, which is also the month of breast cancer awareness, to perform the examination at the medical centre in the “Skënderbej” garrison, where a mobile mammography unit is located.
Deputy Minister of Defence Dallëndyshe Bici, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Manushaqe Shehu were present at this point, where there were taking place the examinations.
Deputy Minister Bici addressed a message to all women of the Armed Forces:
“My message today does not come as a deputy minister, but above all as a woman and I have this awareness message beyond women in uniform! This message is for every woman, mother, sister or wife. The only way we can save ourselves is early detection! Do not hesitate at any time to do the checks! There is no life without a wife! ”, said Bici.
Bici said that this terrible disease has not spared even women in uniform, so the Ministry of Defence, together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces has undertaken this activity which will continue throughout October and beyond./p.s./
