TIRANA, Oct.15/ATA/ The State Police in cooperation with the Albania’s Electricity Power Distribution System Operator (OSHEE) is continuing the controls to prevent the electricity theft.
“As a result of joint controls with OSHEE, 21 cases of electricity theft have been identified. Illegal electricity connections have been made or unlawful practice of tampering with electricity meters in order to steal electricity. 10 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, in Tirana, Fier, Lezha, Dibra and Shkodra, 10 other citizens are being prosecuted in Lezha and Durrës, and 1 more citizen in Tirana is declared wanted,” the Police informs.
The State Police appeals to all citizens to call the number 112 and the Digital Commissariat, in case of violation of the law.//a.i/
