TIRANA, Oct.11/ATA/ The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka congratulated today Michael Linhart on his appointment as the new Austrian Minister for European and International Affairs.
“My warmest congratulations to Michael Linhart on his appointment as Federal Minister for European and International Affairs. I look forward to working closely with the Austrian Foreign Ministry and to strengthen cooperation between Albania and Austria,” Minister Xhaçka said.
Former Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg was sworn in as Austria’s new chancellor today, two days after Sebastian Kurz resigned amid a corruption probe.
Meanwhile, Michael Linhart succeeded Alexander Schallenberg as foreign minister.
Schallenberg and Linhart were sworn in today before the country’s president, Alexander ven der Bellen. //a.i/
