TIRANA, October 8 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the cost that will be created by the energy crisis will not be borne by the household consumer.
During an interview in one of the television studios in the country, Rama said that the emergency plan to deal with the energy crisis will be announced tomorrow.
“Today, we declared an emergency in the energy system. We have received some powers stipulated by the law of emergency. The point is to keep a balance, not throw the crisis on the family consumers. This would be simpler, but there exist opportunities to overcome this crisis phase without burdening the household customer. After that we will enter a phase of system reform. We will make an innovative solution “, stated PM Rama.
Rama said that despite the situation there will be no restrictions on electricity supply.
“Other big countries have made plans to have energy restrictions for consumers, the United Kingdom, for example. But, we will not have electricity restrictions,” Rama said.
According to the prime minister, currently the price of electricity bought in international markets has quadrupled.
“Currently, the price of electricity we buy in international markets has quadrupled. While the price of energy at which citizens are billed is below the cost. Today, the state subsidizes a part of the energy and for one layer we pay important figures every year”, he said.
The prime minister added that in the 8 years of this ruling majority, there are made investments in the electricity system as much as there have not been made since the installation of the electrification poles. /a.a/p.s./
