TIRANA, Oct 3 /ATA/ The Director of Communications at the Prime Minister’s office, Endri Fuga, reacted on Sunday regarding some articles published in certain media outlets that Albania will host illegal immigrants on behalf of third parties.
Fuga refuted the news saying that it is absolutely untrue.
“The news that Albania will set up an asylum -seekers processing center on behalf of the third parties is absolutely untrue. Albania opened its doors to 4,000 Afghans and we are proud of that. We do our duty towards the tradition and our children, not the duties of those who are bigger and more well off than us, ” Fuga said.
The British media outlet “The Sun” published a scenario on Sunday according to which migrants crossing Channel in small boats from France will be detained and flown to an offshore hub in Albania in new asylum crackdown.
