TIRANA, Oct 3 /ATA/ A smart car monitoring system will be installed on the roads, where it will record speed violations with the help of a smart car that can understand and act with the system to reach high efficiency. The system will monitor the roads and cars on the roads 24/ 7 and record violations without any fault.
Minister of Interior Bledi Çuçi saw firs-hand the operation of this smart self-recording device produced in Germany on one of the road segments that connects Tirana with Elbasan where he availed himself of the opportunity to ask the drivers to strictly adhere to the traffic rules, as this device “does not know or make any friends! ”
“This state of the art equipment is used in all western countries. It continuously records all the violations in a certain road segment in 4-6 lanes, if we have a 6-lane motorway. It works day and night and has no human or subjective impact on the judgment of the violation. It self-records the violation and refers it in real time to the processing center at the Traffic Police Directorate. It is a device that can move easily on all road segments, ” Minister Çuçi said.
According to him, during one hour alone on this road it has self-recorded 305 violations of road traffic by vehicle users.
When a traffic violation is committed, the corresponding offence information such as vehicle speed, GPS location, and other driving parameters, are saved in a database for off-line analysis.
