TIRANA, September 24/ATA/ Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj held a visit in Verona and Vicenza on cooperation in the field of waste management.
The “Eco Tirana” company is actually in partnership with the municipality of Verona and now it will promote cooperation even with Vicenza municipality thanks to the relevant agreement between the two Italian cities and Tirana.
Veliaj said that the public companies in Tirana have extended their service even in the outskirts.
“Given that Vicenza and Verona are partners in management of local services, they are also partners in cleaning of Tirana”, said Veliaj adding that he invited the Vicenza Mayor Francesco Rucco to visit Tirana, the European Youth capital 2022 while Vicenza is a city of a lot of young people.
On his part, Rucco expressed his readiness to promote further the cooperation between the two countries in local level. “I say, Albania helped Italy during the most difficult period of Covid and we remember this”, said Rucco.
Veliaj also stopped in Verona market and said it would be a reference point for the big agro-food market that Tirana municipality is opening in Farka./k.s/j.p/p.s./
