TIRANA, Sept 24 /ATA/ – A rich collection of works by Albanian contemporary artists (1990-2000) will add to the Open Archive of the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana.
The news was announced by the Minister of Culture Elva Margariti, who said that “the Gallery’s secrets are now open to everyone, before the National Museum of Fine Arts building undergoes a restoration, reconstruction and rehabilitation project.”
Culture Minister Margariti said few days ago that construction of new National Theatre will begin soon, and together with reconstruction and expansion of the National Gallery of Arts it will create a new culture hub along Tirana’s “Pedonale”, a pedestrian street, which will attract not only Albanian and international artists, but it will also redesign Tirana’s centre.
