Burrel, “Queen Geraldine” rehabilitated park

TIRANA, September 10 /ATA/ “Queen Geraldine” park in Burrel, considered one of the oldest parks in the Balkans, has been completely rehabilitated, becoming an area of relax and an attraction for citizens and tourists.

The Municipality of Mat posted today in the social media a view of the park rehabilitated with funds from the Albanian government. With green spaces, cobblestone pedestrian paths and lighting, the park is already a green space and a pleasant area for all citizens.

The “Geraldine” Park is a gift from the Queen Mother, because Burrel was the birthplace of King Ahmet Zogu.

The park that holds the name of the queen in high esteem is located in the northern part of the city of Burrell and is still one of the parks with the rarest vegetation, not only in our country, but also in the Balkans.

The area extends over an area of about 30,000 m2, which includes a mosque and the Burrel Palace of Culture. /j.p/p.s./
