TIRANA, Sept 7 /ATA/ The ferocious fire that engulfed the village of Panaja in Vlora, which left vast areas of olive groves destroyed, has been brought under control.
It was the Prefect of Vlora, Flamur Mamaj, who reported the news to ATA.
Mamaj said that the fire brigades have stopped the blaze from reaching the houses, but could not to save the olive groves in the village.
According to him, the fire brigades of the municipalities of Vlora, Fier and Roskovec have been involved in the firefighting operation. /a.a/sm/
