Theth in Albania’s Alps a popular destination in autumn

TIRANA, Sept 4 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ – A growing number of visitors are heading to Theth, unique mountain village in Albanian Alps, north of the country, in early autumn to explore one of the most amazing nature landscapes where the tree leaves blend with the mindboggling autumn colours, the regional Administration of Protected Zones in Shkodra said.

“Autumn has arrived at the Visitors Centre in Theth. If you avoided visiting the National Park of Theth during summer season, you should in no way deny yourselves the opportunity to explore and taste the autumn magic in Theth. Stunning landscape and tasty meals featuring all sorts of fresh local produce will accompany you during visit to Theth,” the Administration said.

Both a sprawling village along the valley floor amid an amphitheatre of slate-grey mountains, and a national park containing stunning landscapes and excellent hiking routes, Theth is now well on its way to being Albania’s next big thing.

Small villages in Albanian Alps are increasingly attracting tourists to family-run accommodation with the promise of spectacular views and a fascinating history.

To get to the village of Theth, which is considered the jewel of the Alps, visitors should travel along the road linking Shkoder,  Malësi e Madhe, Bogë, Qafë-Thore and Theth, where they can enjoy breathtaking views.

Theth is a charming village located in the heart of the Albanian Alps. Nowadays, it is becoming more famous among visitors as a destination still unspoiled and if you’re seeking a quiet place, want to disconnect, enjoy a few days in nature, and relax, this is a perfect spot to do so. The area offers nice accommodation spots, traditional cottages, but also more modern huts if you want to treat yourself.
