TIRANA, Sept 2 /ATA/ Kyle and Shawn are two U.S. citizens are working on an agri-tourism project and accommodation facilities in the southern Albanian coastal town of Saranda through the assistance of the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) under the IPARD Programme.
“The World Farm, Kyle’s and Shawn’s dream, two U.S. citizens in love with Saranda, is taking shape in the village of Finiq,” ARDA Director General Frida Krifca said.
According to her, the couple have got down to business and are working around the clock to launch their model farm of agri-tourism next tourist season.
“I visited them to see how the contract we have signed under the IPARD Programme is being materialized on construction of six accommodation facilities, a restaurant, an open-air kitchen, swimming pool, as well as the additional infrastructure for an agri-tourism farm,” Krifca said, underlining that “the concept of farm diversification here is emancipatory.”
She invited visitors to live on the farm, grow fresh local produce, and cook in the village, just 15 minutes away from the Ionian Sea.
