TIRANA, Aug 18 /ATA/ – The number of road accidents in Albania in July has fallen compared to the same period in 2020, the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) said on Wednesday.
The latest data published by INSTAT indicate a 12.3% decline in road accidents to 114 accidents in July, down from 130 accidents recorded during the same period of the previous year.
As many as 13 people died in road accidents in July 2021.
The number of road accident victims in the first seven months of 2021 increased to 118 persons from 88 during the same period of last year.
According to INSTAT, the motorists’ behaviour is to be blamed for around 95,6% of the road accidents in July.
