TIRANA, August 12/ATA/ The Prefect of Gjirokastra region Odise Kote stated today that all the relevant state structures got committed to face an unusual fire situation in Gjirokastra region.
Kote said that today there was intervened to extinguish the fires in the village of Radat in Dropull where it became possible to save the homes, properties and livestock of the local residents.
“We worked with the same team spirit in Gjirokastra, Antigone, Lunxhëri, Përmet and Tepelena making use all the available means and forces of the whole region”, said Kote.
According to Kote, the operation is continuing in the village of Memaliaj, where fires are still burning. /j.p/p.s./
