TIRANA, August 11/ATA/- Prefect of Kukës Region Zenel Kuçana told ATA that the fire that has started in the pine forest in Maja e Rrunës in Kukës is still burning.
Speaking about the fire situation in Kukës Region, Kuçana said that, “In the municipality of Kukës, the fires that have started in the pine forest in Maja e Rrunës continue to be active. 10 firefighting forces, 6 employees of the forest enterprise, 5 employees of the Malzi Administrative Unit, 20 forces from the local community and the regional forces of Kukës have been engaged in isolation and extinguishing of this fire.
Likewise, Kuçana emphasized that there has also begun intervention by air with Helicopter to extinguish the fire.
Speaking about the situation of fires in Tropoja, Kuçana said that, “In the municipality of Tropoja, there are two active fires, one in the forests of Betoshë village, Lekbibaj Administrative Unit and the other fire near Dragobi village, Margegaj Administrative Unit. And today, according to the information received from the municipality of Tropoja, 6 employees of the forest enterprise, 4 employees of the Administrative Unit Margegaj and 10 forces from the local community have been engaged ”./p.s./
