TIRANA, August 10/ATA/- The Ministry of Interior reported that during the last four days, the State Police has prosecuted 15 people for arson attacks and they will face justice.
Following the investigative work to identify the perpetrators of the arson, as a result of information and evidence gathered, the Crime Investigation Specialists at the Orikum Police Station, in cooperation with the investigative structures of the Vlora Police, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen GM, 41 years old, resident in the village of Tragjas. This citizen is suspected of starting fire and burning an area of 1500 m2 with bushes and about 20 olive roots in Tragjas.
Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes at the Saranda Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen Sh.L., 23 years old, resident in Saranda. This citizen is suspected of burning a pasture in the village of Shelegar.
The State Police warned all residents and especially to those who use pastures against arson because otherwise they will face the law!
The police also called on the citizens to report to the number 112 and the Digital Commissariat any case of arson, guaranteeing their anonymity and quick and impartial reaction!
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today saying that, “The State Police has worked tirelessly to arrest the arsonists and now it is the turn of the prosecution office and the courts to give the most exemplary sentences for such a crime against the country, nature, economy, life.”
