TIRANA, Aug 9 /ATA/ Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs that in the last 24 hours 3046 tests have been performed and 69 citizens have tested positive.
The positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 21 cases in Tirana, 6 cases in Durrës, 5 cases in Vlora, Himara, Librazhd, 4 cases in Fier, 3 cases in Lezha, Kavaja, 2 cases in Vau i Dejes, Mirdita, Kamza, 1 case in Shkodra, Has, Kurbin, Vora, Lushnja, Saranda, Konispol, Përmet, Korçë, Peqin, Gramsh.
There are currently 1,082 active COVID-19 cases countrywide. At the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 30 patients are getting specialized hospital care.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, a 73-year old citizen from Tirana passed away. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection offers condolences to the family of the deceased.
21 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, putting the number of cured cases at 130,439 since the onset of epidemics.
