TIRANA, Aug 6/ATA/ The government is expanding direct support to assist the fisheries sector.
The Albania’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milva Ekonomi, said today that, “as of January next year, the government will address the National Support Scheme to help fisheries sector.”
“The application form of the Support Scheme will be provided online, Minister Ekonomi said during the signing of the first contracts with the owners of fishing vessels, which were announced winners of the Second Call of the grants to implement the “Fishing Blue”project supported by EU, in Lezha.
Today the export of fish has marked a multiple increase. Compared to 2013, exports have increased 4 times more. In 2013, were imported 1705 tons of fish, while in 2020, some 8219 tons. There are 745 fishing boats in our country. //a.i/
