TIRANA, Aug 5 /ATA/ The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informed on Thursday that 3601 tests have been performed, of which 132 citizens have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the press release, the cases have been detected in the following municipalities: 42 cases in Tirana, 19 cases in Shkodra, 13 cases in Vau i Dejës, 10 cases in Elbasan, 8 cases in Kamza, 6 cases in Vlora, 5 cases in Kruja, Fier, 4 cases in Saranda, 3 cases in Lushnja, Kuçova, 2 cases in Korça, Kavaja, Pogradec, 1 case in Lezha, Has, Mirditë, Mat, Gjirokastër, Memaliaj, Gramsh, Poliçan.
“There are currently 642 active cases across the country. At the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 26 patients are getting specialized hospital treatment. In the last 24 hours, no fatality was reported due to Sars-Cov2, ” the Ministry informs.
Also, 29 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured cases to date to 130,343 since the onset of epidemics.
