TIRANA, July 28 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama is visiting Skopje, North Macedonia, where he is set to attend the Economic Forum on Regional Cooperation in the Western Balkans on Thursday.
Local media reported that Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev received his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama, and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic ahead of the tomorrow’s Economic Forum on Regional Cooperation.
In a statement for Top Channel TV, PM Rama announced that name of the regional cooperation initiative will be changed at the tomorrow’s Economic Forum.
“There are a series of decisions to be made and agreements to be signed, as it is an Economic Forum with the business community and push forward the work,” Rama told Top Channel TV.
“Regional Schengen is just the framework of an EU formula, the framework of the four freedoms of the European Union, namely the movement of goods, persons, services and capital. Taking notice that many are disputing this name and suggest that the initiative is called differently, I think that whoever disputes the name, they will keep doing so over and over again and nothing will be settled in this aspect,” the government head noted.
