TIRANA, July 27 /ATA/ – Deputy Prime Minister Erion Braçe said Tuesday that the town of Laç in north-western Albania, one of the worst-hit areas due to the November 2019 earthquake, is being transformed and totally reconstructed, not only under the post-earthquake reconstruction program.
“A group of partners are doing everything; Albanian government, Turkish government, the European Commission, the Albanian Development Fund, Laç municipality and more than 1000 local workers are currently building new water supply system, new regional hospital, the municipal building, all schools and kindergartens, roads and streets, and rehabilitate a stream that flooded the town regularly, as well as new residential complex being built for the quake-affected families there,” Braçe noted.
“With new homes, new schools and new water infrastructure, Laç would be a much better place to live than before the earthquake,” he added.
