TIRANA, July 26/ATA/ The Technical Committee of Experts in today’s meeting decided to leave in force the existing measures even after confirmation of the presence of the “Delta” variant in Albania.
The Chairwoman of the Technical Committee of Experts Mira Rakacolli said today that, “There is a slight increase in the number of cases and hospitalizations which are the most important indicator”.
Rakacolli said that, “Despite the fact that the new Delta variant has a higher effectiveness, the protection against it is the same as all other variants. We can protect ourselves by rigorously implementing those measures that have been defined by our experts such as keeping the mask indoors, which unfortunately is no longer being observed. We have also to ban larger gatherings than those recommended by the meeting of April 20 and the continuation of the curfew from 24: 00-06: 00, as well as the music schedule until 23:00”.
Rakacolli appealed to all citizens over 18 years of age to report to the vaccination centers only with an ID card.
Measures in force:
Curfew from 24:00 – 06:00;
Schedule for music until 23:00;
Sports championships are allowed with the presence of fans with reduced capacities up to 30% according to the IPH protocol;
The activities of theaters, artistic and cultural performances, conferences are allowed, with a reduced capacity of up to 30% of spectators or participants, according to IPH protocols./k.s//a.a/p.s./
