New features of Digital Commissariat, Rama: Citizens can monitor police reaction

TIRANA, July 22/ATA/ The Digital Commissariat, established to encourage citizen participation in improving social security, the fight against corruption and law enforcement, assists the State Police in identifying the issues and cases they face and have the responsibility to take care of and interact.

Prime Minister Edi Rama posted a video where the innovations of the Digital Commissariat are presented.

“Good morning and with the New Digital Commissariat, where the space for action of citizens has been expanded, who among other things can monitor the reaction of the State Police to their complaint or request, with just one click from the smartphone or computer, I wish you a nice day,” Rama said.

The Digital Commissariat has in the main menu two more sections with the latest updates, 8 in total (incorrect parking, accident, illegal construction, corruption, theft, illegal possession of weapons, violence, complaint, domestic violence, environmental crime).

To the application, which is downloaded for free on smart phones, two other features have been added, “Domestic Violence” and “Environmental Crime” where the citizens can report.

On official websites of the Digital Commissariat on social networks there will be a section dedicated to the interest of citizens. A dedicated staff will answer citizens’ questions and the ambiguities they have about the Digital Commissariat.

Those questions-answers of wide interest will always be published anonymously.

The Digital Commissariat is an interactive platform, where citizens denounce or report an illegality, but with the latest changes in the application, the Digital Commissariat also sends responses to users.

The novelty is that the section “Domestic Violence”, a phenomenon to which special attention is being paid, will have the option of online communication (Chat) with the operator in the operating room of the Digital Commissariat.

The application is created in accordance with applicable laws for the protection of personal data of the individual. The user can choose to remain anonymous./k.s/p.s./
