TIRANA, July 22/ATA/- The State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi decided today not to provide the post-election financial compensation to the electoral subjects participating in the April 25 general elections that failed to exceed the 1% threshold of votes.
During the meeting, Celibashi stated that the CEC will not provide post-election financial compensation to all electoral entities participating in the April 25 elections that did not exceed 1%.
Celibashi said that 10 political parties have been registered as electoral subjects and have received funds in advance for the April 25 elections.
“To get compensation, a party must have passed 1%. Among the parties that did not receive funding, there are three, the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, the Legality Movement Party and the Union for Human Rights Party, part of DP-Alliance for Change coalition. They demanded compensation for post-election funds, but did not reach the 1% threshold. These three parties had to exceed the 1% so that to be compensated. They received 15,781 votes and therefore they do not benefit. They did not exceed the 1% and do not receive compensation of funds “- said Celibashi./p.s./
