TIRANA, July 16/ATA/ Excise revenues reached ALL 23.2 billion, ALL 3.4 billion or 17.3% more than in 2020, as well as ALL 1.1 billion or 5% more than the excise plan for the first six months of this year.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy-MFE announced on Friday that, the increase of fuel imports by 50.3 thousand tons, or 21.4% more than last year, had a significant impact on excise revenues, estimated at ALL 2 billion, or 20.6%.
According to the MFE, during the first half of the year, have been imported 25 tons of cigarettes, or 2% more than last year, while revenues reached ALL 1.1 billion, or 15.2%.
Among the products that had a negative impact were home brewed beers, with a decrease of 2.6 thousand tons or 17.1%, compared to a year ago, with a negative effect on excise tax of ALL 66 million. //a.i/
