TIRANA, July 11 /ATA/ If you travel on the national road Elbasan-Librazhd, one of the most interesting objects that can catch your eye is the Kamara Bridge in Miraka. This bridge has been designated a cultural monument as one of the few bridges that are considered works of architecture that are located along the trace of the old Egnatia road.
This bridge was built around 1600. It is located about 5 km away from the town of Librazhd, and is built on five vaults made of gray stones taken from Mount Murrash. But the old inhabitants of the area say that this bridge is even older and its foundations carry a legend of sacrifice, similar to that of Rozafa castle.
However, the bridge has remained intact over the centuries, although it is battered by the Shkumbin River. /j.p/sm/
