Politicians comment on SPAK anti-corruption operation in Lushnje

TIRANA, July 6 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The main opposition Democratic Party leaders commented on the arrest of Lushnje Mayor Fatos Tushe on abuse of power and corruption charges earlier on Tuesday, saying it could be a sign to a good start.

DP leader said that Tushe’s arrest came after many of DP’s filed reports and denunciations, which is why it could be a sign to a good start.

“The arrest of Fatos Tushe, after many years of countless denunciations by DP, against his corrupt cooperation with organized crime, could be a good start. But, this will greatly depend on the ability, courage and independence of the judiciary to crack down the links of those in power with crime, the links of ‘Revenge for Justice’ with Tushe, Brace and Rama himself, and their mutual benefits throughout their long years of cooperation,” Basha said via social media.

The Vice Chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) reacted to the reports over the arrest of Lushnje Mayor saying “the Special Prosecution of Office Against Corruption (SPAK) suffers from vision problems.”

“SPAK is really sharp-eyed and can see far away to Lushnja, yet it can’t see Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj as they are very near. SPAK is sick. It suffers from hyperopia and should see an opthtamologist to correct vision, because the blind can see the National Theatre too,” Vasili said.
