TIRANA, June 18 /ATA/ The Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union, Luigi Soreca, visited on Friday afternoon the High Prosecution Council and held a meeting with the President of the Council, Gent Ibrahimi.
In the framework of the latest legislative reform, which aims to strengthen the efficiency of the justice system, Soreca and Ibrahimi discussed the progress of the Justice Reform so far, the consolidation of the Council as a governing institution of the prosecution system, the first results regarding the strengthening of the independence and integrity of prosecutors as well as the first encouraging results of the prosecution system in the fight against crime.
They also discussed the formatting of future European Union assistance to the Albanian justice system./k.s/r.e/sm/
