TIRANA, June 15 /ATA/ The Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Italian Embassy in Tirana signed today a trilateral agreement that will lead to the piloting of an innovative didactic-educational anti-corruption project, which will be implemented initially in selected schools starting from September 2021 and will later be spread all over country.

Minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj praised the signing of this agreement, while adding that, “Today, we gave way to a new cooperation in an area which is at the top of priorities of the Albanian government, the fight against corruption.”

“I am confident that it is an initiative that will promote integrity in society and in the community, because to create a sustainable anti-corruption culture, everything starts with the education of our children,” said Gjonaj.

In her welcoming speech, Minister Evis Kushi spoke about the significance of this agreement and the main mission of Ministry in the education system.

“The main mission of our schools, throughout our education system, is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to become not only good professionals, successful employees, but also worthy citizens. For this reason, in our schools we try to educate them with the best human values, with the best values of citizenship and democracy. The sooner, at an early age, we educate these values in our students, the more chances we will have that tomorrow they will be truly worthy citizens for a healthy society”, she said./p.s./
