TIRANA, June 10/ATA/ The General Prosecutor’s Office is continuing its work on the investigation of the electoral crimes related to the April 25 elections. So far, there have been registered criminal proceedings connected to 53 notifications of criminal charges.
Following the administrative and procedural measures taken by the Prosecutor General to ensure the normal functioning of the Prosecutor’s Office in accordance with constitutional and legal obligations before, during and after the election, the prosecution is committed to investigating criminal offenses in the field of elections, having the competence to act upon the general subject-matter.
According to the reports of the prosecution offices of general jurisdiction on criminal offenses in the field of elections for the pre-election period until 08.06.2021, the prosecution offices have registered criminal proceedings for 53 notifications of criminal offenses related to the elections while 41 more notifications are in the process of preliminary verification. //a.i/
