Projects of cooperation with Turkey/ Balluku from Ankara: Territory control by drone or CCTV camera

TIRANA, June 3/ATA/ Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, part of the delegation accompanying Prime Minister Edi Rama on a two-day visit to Turkey, focused today on cooperation projects between the two countries, which according to her extend in several areas.

In a TV interview from Ankara, Balluku also revealed details of new co-operation projects between the two countries.

The minister stressed that the Turkish company “Sinovac” is planning to open a factory in Albania for the production of some drugs and vaccines.

“This is a follow-up visit to the governmental agreement we signed in January with the Turkish government and for all projects that have started since then, in several different areas such as health. Part of this package was the Regional Hospital (Memorial) of Fier that was delivered before the deadline, or part of the vaccines that have come all the time and are in use for Albanian citizens. The good news is that during today’s meeting with the owner of ‘Sinovac’ there was another development as this company plans to open a factory in Albania for the production of some drugs and vaccines as well”, said Balluku.

Meanwhile, Balluku stressed that today there was a continuation of the meetings with Turkish counterparts launched in January on all issues of co-operation between the two sides. She said that, “It is important that a part of these projects have been launched and a part of the planned projects will start in the coming months”.

“Today, during the meetings we had an exchange of thoughts and projects with some companies of excellence in Turkey. I am referring to some projects related to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, such as the control of the territory by drones or CCTV, ie cameras placed everywhere, since the management center is a project that we have been talking about for a long time, but Turkey through one of the most excellent state-owned companies offers services in many other countries, has quite advanced this service. One of these projects is foreseen to be control of the territory and the traffic through air drones and cameras that will be placed in the entire Albanian road network “, said Balluku.

She stressed that, “We have also discussed other very important infrastructure projects, not to mention cultural projects, such as the restoration of Berat and Gjirokastra area, tourist projects on the Adriatic and Ionian coast and some related projects related to twinning of Turkish universities with Albanian universities.

“All these projects and commitments that we have received from both countries during the bilateral agreement in January, some have reached maturity and have started and others will start soon,” said Balluku./p.s./
