TIRANA, May 31 /ATA/ In the port of Durrës during January-April period of this year nearly 1.4 million tons of various goods were handled, registering an increase of 16% compared to January-April of 2020.
According to data from the Statistics sector at DPA, at the end of this quarter there was an increase of 52% in export goods, with a volume of 412 thousand tons in total.
Based on the statistical data, 239 merchant ships and 287 ferries were handled in the port of Durrës during the period January-April of this year.
During April, the volume of handled goods was 26 percent higher than the corresponding month of 2020, while the increase in the volume of exports is estimated at 36%.
