Vata/ – The Socialist MP-elect Benet Beci announced Saturday that the tender procedures have been launched on a project designed to improve landscape along the national road extending from old bridge over the Buna river to Shiroke, the lake’s museum and thr tourist information centre in Shiroke, the bikes trail and the panoramic sites on Mount Tarabosh in the north-western Albanian region of Shkoder.
Beci posted project images showing the planned transformation of the area along Lake Shkoder.
“Everything looks amazing, yet everyone will take pleasure and be amused when real construction work begins. That’s why I would like to share with you the good news that tender procedures for this project have been launched,” he said.
“I have contributed to the project design at the Albanian Development Fund and I will have the privilege and responsibility to help during the project implementation process in my capacity as MP representing Shkoder constituency. Bids from the interested companies will be announced on July 2 and I am confident construction work will begin in autumn. This project is funded by Albanian government through a loan provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is co-funded by the European Union and it will be implemented by the Albanian Development Fund. I am strongly confident that a series of projects will begin soon to turn Shkodra into a major destination of Albanian tourism,” he said.
