TIRANA, May 21 /ATA/ Currently in Kosovo there are 3,940 active cases of COVID-19.
As of March 13 last year, 107,120 people have been infected with the novel corona virus.
Over 2 thousand 237 citizens have lost their lives to COVID-19.
During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories using the RT-PCR method, as well as public and private laboratories using the RAT method, a total of 3,134 samples taken from HUCKU and tracking of case contacts in the field were taken , of which 55 cases tested positive. Within 24 hours, 2 deaths were reported due to SARS CoV-2 . Death cases are from the municipalities: Pristina 1 case (73 years old), Skenderaj 1 case (63 years old). The total number of positive cases is 107,120 cases out of 582,797 suspected of SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the number of fatalities is 2,237. During the last 24 hours, 331 patients have recovered, putting the total number of cured cases to date at 100,943 cases, while the number of active cases is 3,940, ” it is said in the announcement of the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK).
