TIRANA, May 21/ATA/ 39 young doctors will be recruited at regional hospitals following their 4-year specialization in medicine.
Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu received today the 39 young doctors who on Monday are due to begin work in the regional hospitals signing a 3-year contract with the Ministry of Health.
Manastirliu said that some of these doctors will be recruited in the new Memorial Hospital of Fier which is due to open soon.
The minister said that the appointment of the new doctors to the regional hospitals is done based on selection, according to the points gained.
Manastirliu highlighted the government support through different incentives in addition to the 40% increase of the salaries which is already in force.
The new doctors positively assessed the government initiative for increase of the human resources.
Since 2014, when the specializations in medicine began, more than 200 doctors have been employed in the regional and municipal hospitals on contract./m.m/j.p/p.s./
