TIRANA, May 19/ATA/ Located in the city center, not far from Elbasan Castle, the Ethnographic Museum in Elbasan is an 18th century two-storey building that preserves the culture, folklore and lifestyle of the city.

While sharing a virtual tour in this museum, the SP MP in the region of Elbasan Taulant Balla said that in this museum are found the ethno-cultural values of the characteristic house of Elbasan with a loggia.

“Good morning and with this virtual visit to the Ethnographic Museum of Elbasan, where the ethno-cultural values of the characteristic house with a loggia are found and the handicraft products made over the years by different citizens of Elbasan are fanatically preserved, I wish you a good day”, said Balla .

The Ethnographic Museum is located in the center of the city of Elbasan. In general, the building resembles many characteristic houses in the areas of Berat, Shkodra and Gjirokastra.

The museum is located in one of the old town houses. The building is 200 years old and represents one of the typical houses of the Albanian post-medieval style. The two-storey building is distinguished by the large balcony paved and surrounded by wood. In the language of Albanian folk this construction is known as a porch.

The museum reflects in detail the culture and folklore of Central Albania, the handicrafts of the time and the daily life of the inhabitants of the city and its surroundings. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
