TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/ President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, voted on Sunday in the administrative unit no. 5 in Tirana.
At a media briefing after the vote, Meta called on citizens to turn out for parliamentary elections.
“This blessed, wonderful day has finally come and even God has helped the sovereign express the will in the best possible conditions for the Republic to renew its foundations through the free and equal vote of every citizen in the Republic of Albania, ” said Meta.
According to him, equality before law is guaranteed only by the equality of vote.
“Therefore, every citizen, no matter what he has experienced until yesterday, today should vote freely and with dignity for the alternative he believes in. Fortunately in this election he has the opportunity to vote for the best candidate on the list of alternative he will choose. I invite them to vote freely for the alternative they believe in,” said the President.
