E-vote in administrative unit 10 is running smoothly

TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/ –In Electoral Administration Zone no. 40, administrative unit no. 10 in Tirana, the voting process is being conducted electronically.

This is the only CEAZ designated by the CEC for the application of the pilot project for the process of electronic voting and counting of votes.

The Albanian Telegraphic Agency closely followed the voting process at the polling station set up in “Avni Rustemi” school, which numbers 23,619 voters.

The chairwoman of the Voting Center Commission, Olta Myslimi, told ATA that so far the situation is calm.

According to her, the elderly requested the assistance from a family member or previous voters.

Myslimi explained that in addition to the spots published by the CEC, there is a screen outside the center where citizens can practice how to vote electronically.

Although voting will be conducted electronically, ballots will be printed and thrown in the ballot box to be counted later.

To ensure a smooth process, computers are equipped with batteries for 10 hours, in the event of a power outage.
