SPAK showing important signs/ PM Rama: Part of impunity wall has collapsed

TIRANA, April 13 /ATA/- The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Tuesday that the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has started to produce important results.

During a televised interview, the Prime Minister Rama spoke about the progress of the Justice Reform and why there have not yet been high-profile investigations.

“I am the first to suffer the fact, but at the same time I have been aware since the the first day that there will not be high-profile investigations until the system is completely cleaned and the system is still is being cleared of corruption,” the premier Rama said.

“SPAK is showing important signs, but they are still just signs. Thus, those who would have thought that it was enough for us to do a colossal job, truly to lay the foundation stone for the new justice system and all the changes to the law made and then launch vetting process in the blink of an eye, have thought wrong, because this is an ongoing process,” the Prime Minister Rama said.

“This is a challenge that continues, certainly, because part of the wall of impunity, to be fair, has collapsed,” he added. //a.i/
