Orikum-Dukat, next infrastructure gem in southern Albania

TIRANA, April 12 /ATA/ Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, published on Monday images from the construction site of Orikum-Dukat road, while announcing that work is progressing at a fast pace.

The road includes the St. Eliza Bridge to the Yacht Port segment. According to the minister, 13% of the volume of works has been carried out so far with the laying of the conglomerate set to begin very soon.

Balluku described this segment 14.7 km long as an important work, which connects the Vlora bypass with the Llogara tunnel, shortening the travel time to the southern coast and increasing road safety.

This segment entails the construction of 5 bridges and a panoramic tunnel.

Orikum-Dukat is the next segment of the infrastructure gem in the south of the country, which significantly reduces the distance with the coast for all domestic and foreign visitors.

“We are moving ahead with upgrading the infrastructure by improving the standard and road safety,” Balluku said.
