Water supply in Vlora significantly improved, series of projects underway

TIRANA, April 10 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Saturday pointed out a series of investment projects to deliver on his government’s ambitions to ensure 24-hour water supply to residents in urban areas across the country within 2022, underlining that the water supply situation in Vlora has significantly improved in recent years.

“The situation with the potable water supply in Vlora has been improved significantly, while a series of projects are already underway,” PM Rama said in his remarks at an electoral meeting with local residents in the southern coastal city.

The Premier said that the projects under the Urban Renaissance programme have transformed Vlora and other cities all over the country.

“People should not forget that they have been waiting for 100 years for the transformations taking place now,” he said.

“I acknowledge that Vlora still faces serious problems regarding water supply, but one should not forget the fact that the city has been always facing water shortages previously,” he said.
