TIRANA, April 10 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Saturday urged citizens in Vlora not to vote the centre-right opposition, accusing the Democratic Party of planting a mishmash of properties ownership along whole southern coast.
“A vote for the DP in Vlora is not in the citizens’ interest, but it is a vote to bring back to power those who planted a mishmash of land and properties ownership in whole southern coast,” PM Rama said at an electoral event in Vlora.
“We met earlier 10 tourism operators, half of them DP supporters, even founders of the centre-right party and protagonists of the political life in Vlora for many years. We discussed projects, tourism, perspective of tourism development and they all clearly stated they will back SP in April 25 elections, because this is in their own interest, it is in Vlora’s interest,” PM Rama said.
The government head “this is tactical reasoning of people who work hard day and night, create jobs and income for themselves and many others.”
“Who would have ever thought we would someday gather in such a beautiful space that was completely abandoned just few years ago, an historic centre but totally degraded. But if we see this amazing view that speak for itself as the formerly abandoned spaces are increasingly becoming areas for business, employment, services and hospitality, if you are to look at the area where the next phase of this project is now underway, one should acknowledge a lot remains to be done,” PM Rama said.
