Call for applications under National Agriculture Support Scheme launched

TIRANA, March 24 /ATA/ – The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milva Ekonomi announced Wednesday that a call for applications has been launched under the National Agriculture Support Scheme to support investment projects in farms across Albania in 2021.

The Minister of Agriculture said that a funding of 804 million lek has been earmarked to provide subsidies to farmers based around a series of nine measures set to support farmers and the country’s agricultural sector in 2021.

“I invite farmers throughout the country to file their applications via e-Albania portal starting today March 24 through April 15 to benefit funding under National Agriculture Support Scheme,” Ekonomi said.

Farmer can apply by downloading their ID cards, the tax ID number or NIPT and by filling an online form through which they can demand support under one of the nine measures included in this year’s support programme for the country’s agriculture sector.

The national support scheme is designed to provide funding and subsidies for livestock, beekeeping, replacement of plastic cover of greenhouses, organic production, global GAP certification, cultivation of medicinal plants, and projects on transforming private family homes into guesthouses and new agritourism projects.
