TIRANA, March 15 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama presented his government’s 2021-2025 action plan, saying the plan stipulates that the zero profit tax rate for small business will remain in force until 2029, whereas the personal income tax will be scrapped for the monthly salaries up to 400.000 lek.
“This is an important moment for the small entrepreneurs as zero profit tax is applied to them and the measure will remain in effect until 2029” the Premier said in his remarks at an event to present the candidates for the governing Socialist Party at April 25 parliamentary election in the north-western Albanian district of Lezhe.
Rama also highlighted that the minimum wage has been increased by 50% since 2013 and his government’s objective is to increase the minimum monthly salary to 400.000 lek.
PM Rama also announced that his government plans to scrap the personal income tax on salaries up to 400.000 lek starting on January 1, 2022.
