TIRANA, March 11 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ The Democratic Party (DP) head, Lulzim Basha, answered the questions of the citizens regarding the problems they have and the situation in the country.
Basha said that “the Albanians are fed up with the problems they have to grapple with every day due to a corrupt government that for 8 years on end did not deliver on any promises for which it was voted, on the contrary it lead Albania to the wrong direction and today unlike any other country in the region the Albanian economy has been shattered due to poor management of the pandemics, reflected in the highest number of infections and deaths, with thousands of Albanian families plunged in debt to cure their relatives. Unemployment is at an all-time high forcing 75% of young people, the country’s hope, to flee the country. These are the consequences of Edi Rama’s failures, which we will end on April 25.”
In reply to a citizen who asked him why she should stay in Albania, Basha says that “the problem is solved by driving the evil out. By ousting Edi Rama on April 25 we pave the way for change. Albania is a wonderful country. So the solution is not to shun the problem, the solution to our problem is up to us, removing Edi Rama by vote on April 25 to bring Albania to normalcy. ”
“In countries of the region, emigration is 12 times lower than Albania, because the governments there think about their citizens. On April 25, we have the chance to elect a government that thinks about the citizens,” he said.
In reply to the question about the minimal wage, Basha said that problem number 1 in Albania is economy.
“We will bring the country back to normalcy, a ALL 30 thousand bonus for children up to 5 years will help families meet some basic needs. For children, free textbooks until the end of the 9-year education and for families in need until the end of high school. And third, starting from the first year of government in rural areas and then all across Albania the schools will be open until 14:00hrs offering a free meal for the school children, all these are achieved if we siphon the money away from oligarchs,” he said.
Basha said that “the minimum wage after April 25 will be EUR 300, it will be tax-exempt and social insurance contributions will be reduced by 18%. The most important of all is that we will absorb foreign investors to create well-paid jobs in Albania. It is a shame that Albania has the lowest salary in the Balkans, one of the reasons is that this government has failed in economy. We will create 110 thousand jobs and enable dignified salaries. For university students, we will subsidize the tuition fee 100 percent for all those coming from families with a monthly income below ALL 65 000.
Also, Basha said that as soon as he takes office as PM he would revoke concessions and the toll on the Nation’s road.
