Speaking about emigration figures during the event, “Toward April 25 – FUTURE IS ALBANIA, EMIGRATION IS PAST”, Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that, “Some simple indicators speak for themselves”.
“Here we have sojourns in the European Union, taking into account the Albanians who travel. In the period 2008-2013, we have more departures than in 2014-2019, when we have 12.5% less. It is an official document “, said Rama.
Referring to the departures, the prime minister stressed that, “In 2008, there are about 100 thousand people who left the country in 1 year”. “The trend is decreasing to 31,279 departed in 2013. Then there is a resurgence and we come to 2019. We still have a trend that is stable with a decrease, resurgence and then stabilization,” said Rama.
The prime minister said that, “If we see the returnees, because they leave but also return, in the period 2014-2019 there are 49,790 returnees, a figure that speaks extremely much for another important return.”
