TIRANA, March 1 /ATA/ The European Parliament President, Davide Sassoli, after the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted on Twitter, saying that the EP supports the timely start of the first intergovernmental conference of Albania with the EU.
Sassoli pointed out that Albania is delivering the key reforms on the way to EU integration.
“Excellent meeting with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. Albania is delivering key reforms on the pathway to EU integration. I therefore expressed the EP’s support for timely start of the first intergovernmental conference. The EU also stands ready to help in the fight against COVID-19,” EP President Davide Sassoli said.
PM Edi Rama is on an official visit to Brussels where he had meetings with top officials of EU.
On his visit to Brussels, Prime Minister Rama is accompanied by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, and the Chairman of SP Parliamentary Group , Taulant Balla.
